1.Why did you decide to stay in the share house?
I came to Nagoya for a 6 week long internship. I knew nobody in this new city and therefore thought it would be a great opportunity to live in the share house as it gave me the opportunity to live with 6 other Japanese housemates.
2.How do you spend the time in the share house?
Due to our different working hours, I was often back in the house much earlier than the rest of my house mates. But the times when they were in I would sit in the living room and watch TV, eat and talk! I first arrived during Christmas time when they had arranged an Xmas party too, that was fun! Other times I relaxed in my room (and I also slept quite a lot!!)
3.How did you lifestyle change?
I was in a situation where I often had to speak only Japanese with those housemates who could not speak English- this was a great learning experience! I would often listen to them talk amongst themselves too which was also a great way to pick up the language!
Overall, as I am currently a university student and therefore don't often have any alone time due to my hectic lifestyle, living in the share house was much more relaxed!
4. What do you want to try and How do you see yourself from now on?
Once I return to my Japanese university, I want to continue meeting many more Japanese people and hopefully one day become "pera pera" in the Japanese language!!
5. Message to people who are thinking about share house?
I definitely recommend it! It's a great way to meet new people and the share house is so nice!
