Hotaru is a share house for artistic people. Its flooring was completed with Ina Wood from Ina City, which is a sister city for Shinjuku.
The 70-year-old share house was built with natural materials, and refreshes its residents with its scent of wood.
This is the place for someone who loves art or has an interest in art.
There is a shared art gallery on the first floor. In May, 2024, the grand-opening anniversary art event was held.
Furthermore, cultural spaces that connect the community will be prepared, such as a co-working space, a shared kitchen and a shared porch.
You can enjoy movies on a big screen, since there is a projector and a screen in the living room.
There is a lot of furniture from abroad and tableware from Japan in the shared spaces.
You feel relaxed in this foreign and Japanese mixed atmosphere.

This will be enjoyed by someone who likes various things such as art, movies, music and cooking.
Special events such as film viewings and workshops can be held at the gallery space or the living room, using its screen.

It is a five-minute walk to Shimochiai Station on the Seibu-Shinjuku Line and a 15-minute walk to Takadanobaba Station on the JR Line.
The share house is close to the stations, but is located in a quiet area. There is a 24-hour supermarket, and a convenience store, and a drug store close to the house.
There is Shimochiai Park and Otomeyama Park.
Artist-In-Residence Hotaru has not been completed yet. If you are someone who could find joy helping building up the uncompleted house, this will be a great place.
Events like dinners or lunch parties, seminars, cooking lessons, or movie-viewing parties will be held periodically.
