Flat Bolero Jodoji, a Multinational Share House, is located in the Kitashirakawa area—one of the most coveted places to live for anyone familiar with Kyoto.
Kitashirakawa offers a perfect blend of Kyoto’s cultural ambiance and a convenient living environment.
Nearby, you’ll find iconic Kyoto sightseeing spots such as the Philosopher’s Path, Nanzen-ji Temple, and Ginkaku-ji Temple, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of Kyoto through all four seasons.
Additionally, with excellent access to Kyoto University, Kyoto University of the Arts, and Doshisha University, this share house is also highly recommended for students!
Designed and supervised by Naoyuki Hashimoto, who worked on projects like the Awaji Island Westin Hotel and Nishida Museum, this designer share house was built on the site of a former Kyoto-style restaurant, embracing a Zen-inspired design.
The interior beautifully blends Kyoto’s traditional Japanese aesthetic with modern design, creating the perfect home to fully immerse yourself in Kyoto’s essence.
Although the building is two stories high, it has the same height as a three-story building, giving the living room a spacious and open feel with three-story-high ceilings!
On the second floor, there is a dedicated workspace, providing an ideal environment for work or study.
Plus, with a cleaning robot operating four times a week, the common areas remain spotless without the need for cleaning duties.

Though compact, the rooms offer a 1.5-story ceiling height, creating a sense of openness.
Each room comes with a loft space (3.3㎡ / approx. 2 tatami mats for the bed area), making it feel more spacious.
With around 6 tatami mats, the space is optimized for comfortable living.
Since furniture and appliances are fully equipped, you can move in with minimal belongings.

A convenience store and supermarket are within a 3-minute walk, making daily life incredibly convenient.
Additionally, a post office and a hospital with English-speaking staff are nearby, ensuring a well-supported living environment.
Great access to universities:
Kyoto University – about 10 minutes by bicycle
Kyoto University of the Arts – about 10 minutes by bicycle
Doshisha University – about 20 minutes by bicycle
With a bicycle, you can also easily visit famous tourist sites such as Kyoto Imperial Palace, Shimogamo Shrine, and Yasaka Shrine, making this share house an excellent base for exploring Kyoto.
